Extending the Ontological Model for Urinary Profiles
نویسندگان
چکیده
Urinalysis (i.e. laboratory test of urine) provides information about patient’s health conditions based on the contents present in a urine sample. A key factor to guarantee the quality of the test, it is arranging urinary findings in a clinical context. Aiming to support the task, it was proposed an ontological model for Urinary Profiles (i.e. recurrent characteristics of urine that help in contextualizing it). Besides providing context, it allows predicting which contents should be observed in a sample based on what was already found in it. Although useful, such model defines Urinary Profiles as strictly related to the contents of the urine, when, in fact, it seems to be based on a broader context, including intrinsic properties of urine (e.g. pH) and things outside it (e.g. the patient from which the sample was collected). Thus, this paper proposes an extension to such model including other aspects of the urinary context. It is defined using the Unified Foundational Ontology (UFO).

متن کاملEnriching Ontological User Profiles with Tagging History for Multi-Domain Recommendations
Many advanced recommendation frameworks employ ontologies of various complexities to model individuals and items, providing a mechanism for the expression of user interests and the representation of item attributes. As a result, complex matching techniques can be applied to support individuals in the discovery of items according to explicit and implicit user preferences. Recently, the rapid ado...
متن کاملOntological Profiles as Semantic Domain Representations
Ontologies are conceptualizations of some domain, defining its concepts and their relationships. An interesting question is how do we relate the ontological concepts to the general vocabulary of the domain? In this paper we present the concept of ontological profiles, what they are, how they are constructed, and how they may be used. We propose that the ontological profile is a link between the...
متن کاملExtending Operational Zone of Rotary Power Flow Controller by Controlling Tap-changers of Transformers
This paper proposes a method for extending the ability of rotary power flow controller (RPFC) using tap-changer of the RPFC’s transformers. A detailed model of the device is presented to analyze the effects of the tap changer operation on the performance of the RPFC. To evaluate the results, the RPFC model is simulated using PSCAD/EMTDC software. Dynamic operation of the RPFC on a 400 kV transm...
